IYM Sports Radio was started in 2008 to provide a central location for my play-by-play broadcasts. Debuting as My Sports Live, we provided coverage of non-varsity college hockey contests including the ECHA playoff tournament in West Chester, PA. Re-branding to IYM Sports Radio on September of 2008, we expanded to cover over 40 games from Drexel University, Stony Brook University and the University of Pennsylvania. That November, IYM Sports Radio began it’s coverage of the Eastern Professional Hockey League culminating with the only live broadcast of the EPHL Championship Series in Brooklyn, NY. For the 2009-2010 season, IYM Sports Radio scheduled another fine schedule of hockey action from the ACHA, but were able to add games from the Pennsbury High School hockey club, the Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference and the Mid-Atlantic Hockey Association. Last season, we were happy to add Rowan University and Penn State-Brandywine to the line-up. We even delved into new sports with the 2010 Fann Cup Lacrosse Tournament, LEAPS Lacrosse Pro Charity Game, the Gloucester Township Hawks “Toys for Tots” lacrosse tournament and New York Sharks women’s football, thanks to the Women’s Football Network. This August, we are proud to be able to begin our 2nd season with Rowan University, our 3rd season with Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey, and our 1st season with the Trenton Habs of the International Junior Hockey League. We will also have the 2nd annual LEAPS Lacrosse “pro” charity contest. After 3 seasons and over 150 broadcasts, we are still honored for the opportunity to bring these great games to everyone at home.
